Tess is an Edmonton based blogger, and gardener who enjoys cooking, fine wines, and local foods but also appreciates good service and food at a new restaurant.
Other interests are: science, business, investments, fantasy and science fiction, social issues, video games, health issues, crafts (sort of), relaxing, photography, and dogs. My two little friends Selena and Heloise have given me an incredible amount of joy and happiness.
What my blog all about:
What is this blog about? Everybody being calm and just taking it easy. And while you’re doing that, you may find the odd assortment of information like a restaurant review or a gardening idea or you can follow my foray into the world of blogging. Although I have a fairly decent camera one day I hope to get better at using it. Most of the photos in my blog will be mine or those of my significant other’s Brad Grier.
Some of my background:
I’ve been working in the administrative area for many years, although it takes up most of my day, I am a great organizer and planner. I like to use the latest technology to help me get or stay organized. This lead me into my first personal triumph, organizing my huge library into a database then periodically moving the entire collection of data into more up to date software. I kept the electronic library current for many years before finally giving it up and selling off most of the books.
Now my interests are more culinary and healthy; gardens and fresh produce are my new goals as is using a much locally produced food that I can.
Although I haven’t gone to a lot of different restaurants over the years (I seem to prefer the more familiar) I have been taking a plunge into the world of a food critic. Being a cook also has me wondering what new creations a novice like myself could try at home.
