Okay, so birthday gift…mine…headed off to the above mentioned restaurant for birthday dinner. Being a Monday, the streets downtown were quiet and for the most part, pretty easy to navigate just before our 6:30 PM reservations. In fact we got there just a tad early.

I’d read a bit about the history of the building wondering why the name “hardware” and as chance would have it I do remember hearing that it used to be a W.W. Arcade Hardware store during some obscure conversation about old Edmonton buildings so I was curious to see what had become of this building. Although I’m more of a black tea drinker and prefer the bulk green teas this one was at least a start for now on my quest for other green teas.

I picked up this organic tea the other day and I’ve been slowly making my way through the sachets of tea bags. Its from Namasthe from Whister, BC and  unfortunately they don’t have much of a website just yet it doesn’t really matter for now, it’s the tea not the web. more…

There is a moment in time, a pause upon a hill where there is a whiteness of winter. It’s not just an absence of colour but more a blending of textures. White upon white, cold to cold, slipping into the many shades of gray and finally a fade to black.
